The ‘Demonic’ Nature of the Psychopath

THE PSYCHOPATH AS THE
ALLEGORICAL DEMONIC LOVER

The manipulation of an individual’s psychology within a psychopathic relationship works precisely the same way as a slick public relations exercise—albeit without a PowerPoint presentation. Discarded targets’ nightmares are more than just nocturnal—the sensations are more than just the result of being a ‘nervous wreck.’

Something has been done on a very primal and spiritual level and the target will experience things that leaves them very different people afterwards. I have yet to meet a single atheist after having endured a psychopathic relationship—they simply stop being unbelievers. Something about coming face to face with a psychopath placed them into a very different reality construct than anything they had been prepared for in years of intellectualising. Humans are profoundly changed in ways they never expected they would be by an encounter with a puzzling person, such is the intensity of this experience.

I have to stress again that I am not claiming that psychopaths are demons or demonically-possessed human beings. They may very well be in an allegorical or as yet undetermined ‘supernatural’ sense, I honestly can’t say one way or the other. For the sake of this book, when I use terms such as ‘demon’ or ‘demonic’, I am using it to convey certain sensations and emotions which science as yet cannot quantify. The term ‘demon’ is an archetypal motif to pin the experience into the material world and what I believe to be the best conceptual yardstick presently available. Even so, I cannot turn my back on sincere statements made by individuals who have shared the most incredible ‘supernatural’ effects they experienced during and after an encounter with a psychopath. I would no sooner dismiss this as a psychologist would dismiss dreams and dream symbolism in the quest of restoring mental health in their patient.

This ‘demonic’ nature of the psychopath goes a long way towards explaining how short of the mark science and psychiatry are when confronting the psychopathic individual and their place in society. Mental health professionals depend upon methodologies which are excellent for detecting and evaluating the psychopath but fail to explain how they arrived amongst us. Much of this is on purpose as there is a vested interest in playing down the issue of psychopathology in order to protect the wealthy psychopaths who are running the show at global, political and corporate levels.

It is much the same when the authorities fail to come to terms with a wealthy and influential psychopath who has committed a crime; historically, people would turn to the church to deal with the issue since this would be the last recourse of the peasantry under the yoke of an aristocratic psychopath and his or her powerful family. Nowadays, many people who have been targeted are adrift with no means of support.

Religion today (with the exception of Sharia Law in Islam) has lost its authority in society, resulting in the contemporary psychopathic elite more or less free to get away with what they want. It is not surprising that people in what we call the ‘Truther’ movement point out the ‘luciferian’ and ‘satanic’ events which the psychopathic elite appear to have a fondness for, such as the bizarre goings-on at the Bohemian (Grove) Club in California, the Skull and Bones Society at Yale University (former US Presidents Bush Sr. and George W. Bush Jr. are both members), and the likes of the aristocratic Hellfire Club of times past.

People will always try to see a ‘demonic’ or ‘satanic’ aspect to the psychopath as it not only helps to pin down the sheer evil of these individuals, but also aids in the healing process. On one level, it is most certainly an excuse or ‘crazy rationalisation’, while on the other hand, it is a useful and meaningful healing tool to help cope with and escape from the experience. It is therefore valid and worthy of inclusion in this book—particularly since no academic will touch it, even though it is very much part and parcel of the psychopathic experience.

Thomas Sheridan is an independent alternative artist, author, satirist, musician, public speaker, broadcaster and researcher currently based in the West of Ireland. His illustrations have appeared on the covers of newsstand magazines, books and websites worldwide.

The Anvil of the Psyche is considered a vital manual for personal and social survival in a world controlled by greed and false hopes. Thomas' writings and interviews have evolutionised people to build a firewall around their own psyche and not to be lured into handing over personal independence to an exterior collective or guru. As a result, his NO CONTACT EVER AGAIN philosophy applied to controlling individuals and groups has made Thomas an enemy of mind-controlled death cults and neo-Nazi fringe groups.  Thomas has also been featured in several films and documentaries.
